Many families are now spread all over the country and all over the world. It is often impossible for family members to travel and to provide care for their loved ones after an unexpected visit to the hospital. Custom Caregivers has a unique, one of a kind program to get elderly patients the care that they need after a stay in an acute care facility. The last thing that a patient needs after a difficult hospital experience is a ride home in a dirty, smoky taxi cab. To add insult to injury, they are then let out at the curb.
Custom Caregivers picks the patients up in a clean, smoke free car by an experienced caregiver. Once at home, we escort them back inside. For the next three hours, we take care of anything that they need. Nothing good has happened in the refrigerator, so we clean it out. We fix a nourishing meal, do the laundry, make the bed, help sort the mail and anything else our clients request. If prescriptions need to be picked up, we do it. If the pets need to be cared for, we do it. The program is customized to our client’s needs.
